SHORT BIO

I am a Belgian-Bolivian filmmaker with a soft spot for stories that live between worlds: between languages, between cultures, between what we remember and what we imagine. My work is rooted in memories, dreams and migration.

Over the past fifteen years I have worked as a director and writer in documentary and fiction, with projects for VRT, Play and VTM. Storytelling, in all its forms, is simply what I do.

My short film Nightshift (2006, Potemkino/VAF) premiered at the World Film Festival of Montréal and competed at Clermont-Ferrand. My latest short A Las Escondidas (Produced by Hilife and with VAF & Sabam support) is in post-production after winning multiple awards.

And then there is the film closest to my heart: my debut feature UKUMARI, developed with support of the Flemish Audiovisual Fund and Sabam for Culture. A story that is now part of Residencia Extremadura in Spain and Torino Film Lab Next, Feature Film 2026.

Work Experience

July 2003 - 2025

Freelance reporter, story editor, editor-in-chief, and director for shows such as Hunted, The Traitors, Temptation Island, So You Think You Can Dance, MasterChef, 16+, and Peking Express.

For five years, I was a director and interviewer for Tomorrowland TV, covering events in both Belgium and the US.

I have three years of experience working on documentary series in Belgium, including 24 Hours in A&E, 24 Hours in A&E: Children's Hospital, and others. My most recent project was the youth series ZOOV 1&2.

Freelance director for brands and corporate movies.

I collaborated with Pixmix, Mediamixer, Crossing Zebra

Clients: Koning Boudewijn Stichting, Duvel, DEME, Total...

Guest lecturer at RITCS School of Arts, where I deliver lectures and workshops on storytelling in documentaries, interview techniques, directing actors, and human interest reporting.

Additionally, I have overseen international reports for an exhibition on the weaving community of Potolo in Bolivia, supporting a PhD Human Rights student from VUB with the project Resistance of the Textiles.

Creating, screenwriting, and directing for cinema and XR productions in Belgium and Bolivia, with support from the Flemish Audio Visual Fund and Sabam.

Currently, I'm part of a writing team at Geronimo Fiction writing a new drama serie for television in 2027.
